Lexle Builder & Demo

Welcome to LEXLE

Build, test, and export a custom Wordle-style learning game. Use demo mode to feel the flow, then switch to your own topics and hints.

How it works:

Add 5-letter answers, topic, description, and 3 hints in the builder.
Use Demo mode to see the default set, or Test to play your list.
Score drops on failed guesses and hint unlocks.
Export to static HTML/zip; exported game picks a random word on load and posts lexle-result to parent.

Generate 3 Lexle entries for the topic: "<topic>".

Import from JSON

Paste an array of entries to replace the list.

Replaces word list with valid entries.

Export bundle

Exports include your words, scoring, randomization on load, and both a postMessage + sessionStorage hook (lexle-result) for Storyline.

Storyline embed:

Insert a Web Object that points to the unzipped folder (or hosted copy) of this export.
On slide start: add an Execute JS trigger that listens for lexle-result messages and copies them into parent sessionStorage as lexle-result-parent:

Add a Storyline button with an Execute JS trigger to pull the latest result into Storyline vars and set a completion flag:

Create Storyline vars: LexleResult (text), LexleTopic (text), LexleWord (text), LexleScore (number), LexleCompleted (boolean=false). Gate Next on LexleCompleted === true; otherwise show a reminder layer. Optional: clear lexle-result-parent on slide exit.
